If you want to enjoy Oktoberfest as much as possible, it’s nice to have a good campsite as a base for your (drunk) adventures. Festanation has 2 campsites which are equally good, but there are also some other campsite options out there. We want to help you compare these options, so you can make the best decision for your stay! The most important things to take into account:
Here’s the catch: many campsites on Booking.com and Hostelworld advertise a cheap tent price… but don’t include an airbed, sleeping bag, or liner. When you arrive, you’ll be charged extra to rent them — often making your stay far more expensive than you expected.
At Festanation: Your tent, airbed, sleeping bag, and liner are all included in the price. No surprises.
Camps that have bed & sleeping bag included
Camps that don’t have it included:
Some low-budget camps rack up bad reviews from unhappy guests who felt ripped off — then delete their account and reopen under a new name with a handful of fake reviews.
At Festanation: We’ve been operating for years, have consistently great reviews, and are proud of our transparency.

Oktoberfest is about more than beer — it’s about meeting people from around the world, making friends, and maybe finding your future drinking buddy.
At Festanation: We organise daily tours and activities so you can easily meet fellow travellers.

At some camps – Lost Souls, All-inclusive (Stoke), Central camping, Party camping – you have to pay a few euros for a coin-operated shower — and you get a few lukewarm minutes at best.
At Festanation: Unlimited hot showers are included in the price. Yes, during peak hours there can be a short wait, but you’ll still be fresh and happy.

Some camps are so far from the city centre that getting to the festival feels like a long-distance expedition. Always check if the campsite is connected to public transport.
At Festanation: Both our camps are well-connected, so you can get to Oktoberfest and back without stress.
After a night of beer steins and bratwurst, waking up to a tasty breakfast can be life-saving.
At Festanation: Breakfast is optional but available — perfect for those mornings when you need a gentle start.
